WCS Lessons for Summer 2016
Our West Coast Swing classes will start back up on Wednesday, June 1st
at the Aerofit Center (1900 West Villa Maria Road in Bryan). DIRECTIONS
Summer classes are more loosely structured than usual because so many people come and go during the summer. What we will do is see who shows up each night and what they need. We will always have a focus on newcomers/Level 1 students, but will try to get some Level 2 concepts taught as well.
How things normally work during Fall and Spring semesters:
Level 2 classes are for those who already know the basic steps of West Coast (i.e. side passes, sugar push, whip, starter step, and tuck turn) and received instructor permission to move up from Level 1. Currently each Level 2 lesson is a "workshop" standalone type class, not necessarily part of a sequence. The folks that take the Level 2 class usually stay for the Level 1 class that follows it to continue to work on their own basics and help out with the new students.
For summer we will just have just the Level 1 class:
Level 1 for those who are just starting to learn the dance. During spring and fall semesters Level 1 repeats every six weeks where new dancers are allowed to join the class the first and second weeks. During summer's 10 weeks, people will simply join us when they can (and leave when they must) due to the varying university program dates and personal vacation schedules.
Come out and try your first lesson with us, free!
(Some online Level 1 instructional videos and resources are also available to help you learn.)
